Pottery
Cora started her journey in pottery as a way to occupy some time in her retirement, alongside her enjoyment with sewing. After completing both a beginner and advanced course at The Clay Lady Studio in Nashville, TN, she accepted a kiln as a gift from her in-laws and invested in a potter's wheel to continue her path. Recognizing her talent, her family and friends encouraged her to begin displaying and selling her pottery at craft fairs - she obliged, and she's not looked back since.
While Cora enjoys making pottery pieces that are similar in nature, her clients often browse the booth looking for unique items to complement the color and style of their home decor. Mugs and bowls often consume the table space at craft fairs, but it's not uncommon to see other pieces, such as spoon rests, pitchers, ornaments, and even tic-tac-toe games.
Check out the gallery below to see some of Cora's work. If you're interested in purchasing one of her creations, please check our new online store for her latest pieces. If you happen to be traveling in Middle Tennessee, we'd also love to meet you at one of our upcoming craft shows.
